LaCie launches two new USB 3.0 storage devices, the d2 USB 3.0 external hard drive and the 2big USB 3.0 with RAID and 6TB capacity. Both of them are designed by Neil Poulton and utilize 7200RPM hard drives with 16MB cache memory and the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface for enhanced performance.

The sturdy and fanless d2 USB 3.0 external professional hard drive comes with aluminum head sink to prevent overheating. The drive can stand upright, be stacked horizontally with other drives, or rackmounted to save desktop space. It is available in 1TB, 2TB and 3TB and offers up to 156MB/s transfer speed.The 2big USB 3.0 is a dual-bay storage system with supports for RAID 0/1 or JBOD. Available now in up to 6TB, the 2big USB 3.0 achieves a dramatic 20% speed boost by reaching 306MB/s. It comes with a USB 3.0 PCI Express add-on card.
